Dubai Shopping Festival 2026–27: Dates, Highlights and UAE Visa Guide for Indians
The 32nd Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) runs for 45 days, from 4 December 2026 to 17 January 2027, across malls, souks, beaches and outdoor venues in Dubai. What is the Dubai Shopping Festival?
DSF is Dubai's citywide winter festival, organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment. It started as a retail event and now mixes shopping offers and raffles with concerts, food, family activities, beach experiences and fireworks. The organisers say the full programme, including headline entertainment and prize draws, will be announced in the coming weeks on mydsf.ae, so keep an eye on official channels for exact show dates.
For Indian families, DSF lines up neatly with the December school holidays, Christmas and New Year, which is why flights and hotels fill fast in the second half of December.
When to go
Each part of the season feels different. Use this to plan.
Opening weekend (4–6 Dec 2026) — Launch-weekend energy, and it overlaps with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix race weekend (3–6 December), so you can combine shopping in Dubai with F1 in Abu Dhabi, about 90 minutes away by road.
Mid-December — Usually better hotel rates than Christmas week, pleasant evening weather and the full set of mall offers.
New Year's Eve and January — The busiest and most expensive period. If you want New Year's Eve in Dubai, book flights and hotels early and apply for your visa as soon as your tickets are confirmed.
Things to plan around DSF
Global Village Season 31 is open from 14 October 2026 to May 2027, so it is easy to add an evening there. If you also visit Abu Dhabi, the Sheikh Zayed Festival at Al Wathba runs from 30 October 2026 to 14 March 2027. UAE National Day (Eid Al Etihad) falls on 2 December, just before DSF opens, and brings celebrations and fireworks across the country.

How to apply with DU Visas
